Surrounded by long established gardens Wordsworth House is situated on high ground in a quiet location south of Swanage. The oldest part of the house is thought to date back to 1908, with gracious rooms whose tall windows look out on the charming gardens and spectacular sea and cliff views.

Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the edge of Durlston Country Park and the Heritage coast of the Purbeck Hills, the front of the house has views over the ocean.
The quiet town of Swanage is within 2 hours of London by rail from Wareham.

Mrs Weekes has owned and successfully run Wordsworth House Nursing Home for the past 21 years. She is a hands on Manager and is actively involved in the day-to-day life at Wordsworth

Wordsworth House is a Residential Care Home for the Elderly, which provides full care under the direct supervision the Manager and a team of Registered Nurses.

Wordsworth House Nursing Home aims to provide the residents with a warm, relaxed, informal and homely atmosphere, in which their care, comfort and well being are of paramount importance.

Although we are an old fashioned home, Wordsworth House has been re-designed to the latest standards in Health and Safety, Fire Safety and Health and Hygiene.

We like to think of ourselves as ‘home from home’ with the added bonus of 24-hour care.
